UMTRC Webinar: Old Challenges in New Contexts: Maturing Information Security in Telehealth
Presentation Description:
In the spring of 2020, most healthcare organizations were forced to pivot to delivering services in the telehealth environment.
While telehealth itself is not new, it was a new process to many organizations, one that was thrown together instantaneously as a result of being in “survival mode.”

3 Objectives:
1. Three areas of concern when securing telehealth: Governance, Platform Security, and Infrastructure Security
2. The threats and risks surrounding each of the three areas, and
3. Mitigation strategies for minimizing risks within each area.

Matthew Crain serves as a Senior Information Security Analyst for Purdue Healthcare Advisors and for cyberTAP. He works on cybersecurity projects affecting healthcare, particularly focused on IT security risk management.
