When is a consent form not enough? [SG HK MY]
This is an essential webinar on the important issue of consent. Disputes about adequacy of the consent process is a common cause of complaints and claims. It is absolutely necessary that you are aware of the key issues regarding patient autonomy, obtaining valid consent and its documentation.

The process of managing consent and expectations provides the opportunity to develop trust and understanding with patients and enhance your reputation as a clinician, and the reputation of your clinic. It may also provide the basis for a robust defence should a claim arise.

During this one-hour interactive webinar, Dental Protection’s Head of Dental Services – Asia & Australasia, Dr James Foster will discuss the functions of consent and autonomy, free will and choice in relation to patient care. Dr Foster will outline the limited benefits of a consent form, provide ideas for documenting the process and will share examples of ethical dilemmas a clinician may face.

There will be the opportunity for real time questions and answers during this webinar.
