The governor's FY21 and FY22 raids on dedicated funds for public transit total hundreds of millions of dollars, exceeding revenue from a fare hike, recently postponed but still threatening riders
New York, NY--MTA riders, elected leaders, and transit advocates will join in a virtual rally against Governor Andrew Cuomo's planned fiscal raids on dedicated funds for public transit, including cuts of $98 million in FY21 and $145 million in FY22.

What: Riders, elected officials, and advocates will rally to stop Governor Cuomo's raids on funds set aside for public transit and diversions to other state purposes to prevent a regressive hike of subway and bus fares, paid overwhelmingly during COVID by essential workers and the millions of low-income New Yorkers without cars.
