Reena Duseja, MD, MS
Chief Medical Officer for Quality Measurement and Value-Based Incentives Group in the Centers for Clinical Standards and Quality @Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
Dr. Duseja is the Chief Medical Officer of the Quality Measurement and Value-Based Incentives Group in the Centers for Clinical Standards and Quality at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In this role, she oversees the measure development and analyses for a variety of CMS quality reporting and value-based purchasing programs. Dr. Duseja is an emergency medicine physician and prior to coming to CMS, was an Associate Professor at the University of California, in San Francisco, in the Department of Emergency Medicine, where she led quality improvement activities and was awarded funding by NIH to conduct studies related to improving patient care and value for the health system. As a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, her research focused on quality of care and unintended consequences of measurement. She received her Master's in Science in Health Economics at Wharton, Heath Care Management and Economics, at the University of Pennsylvania.
