The EPA has created a new energy efficiency program to push the home building industry to an even higher level of efficiency than their popular ENERGY STAR for Homes program. The US Department of Energy's Zero Energy Ready Home Program (ZERH) takes efficiency for homes to an even higher level. Both programs are eligible for federal tax credit to incentivize the market to build more homes for both programs.
