This Tuesday, July 2nd, at 4pm - 5pm (Pacific) 5pm-6pm (MX, Central), 7pm-8pm (Eastern), we invite you to hear from the young and passionate activists who are organizing a transnational day of action to put forward six powerful proposals for addressing the current humanitarian and human rights crisis facing migrants and displaced people in Central America, Mexico and the U.S.
Recent threats from President Donald Trump to begin mass deportations and his imposition of “Stay in Mexico,” worsen the harsh stigma and difficult challenges that migrants face every day -- in Mexico, in the United States, as well as in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. The cruel realities of migration have erased the human identities of migrants -- mothers, children, poets, fathers, workers, -- with the ugly narratives of crisis and criminalization.
That is why, on July 6th, a coalition of organized groups of migrants and their allies will host a transnational day of action in 15 cities and communities throughout the Americas.
Tune in to learn more about these high profile --and simultaneous -- public actions to promote local well-being across borders for migrants, the undocumented, refugees, the displaced, returned, detained, deported, for citizens, families neighbors, and communities.
