Chinatown Pretty was created by photographer Andria Lo and writer Valerie Luu, two friends who love dim sum and documenting Chinatown. What started out as a blog and Instagram channel that photographed and interviewed elders in Chinatown evolved to become a book of portraits and interviews worn by poh pohs (grandmas) and gung gungs (grandpas) of Chinatowns across San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Vancouver.
