Live public comments, either in-person or virtual, for the Board of County Commissioners meeting will be accepted for those who have preregistered via this form by noon (12:00 p.m.) on the Wednesday before the Thursday meeting. Individuals wishing to speak in-Person, may also sign up In-Person by Thursday 9:20 a.m. prior to the meeting
The BOCC has established a limit of 50 speakers for general public comments or for a specific agenda item. If more than 50 individuals register, the 50 speakers will be determined by a random process. Speakers will be limited to 3 minutes each.
Please complete the registration form below and click on “Register.” After completing the registration, you will receive an email notice Wednesday afternoon regarding the status of your registration. Instructions on joining and speaking will be included in the email notice.
During the Public Comment period, speakers who have registered to speak via Zoom will be called upon to speak first, followed by speakers who have registered to speak in person.
For virtual public speakers, the meeting will open at 9:25 AM. Registered speakers using Zoom will be called upon to speak in the order in which they signed up. Speakers are asked to leave the meeting after public comments and can watch the broadcast at https://boccmeetings.jocogov.org/OnBaseAgendaOnline/ or https://www.facebook.com/jocogov/.
For in-person public speakers, please arrive at the 3rd floor atrium at 111 S. Cherry Street, Olathe, Kansas 66061 by 9:30 AM and you will be admitted into the Hearing Room in the order specified by the Deputy Clerk.
The BOCC Chairman may modify these procedures as needed to conduct an orderly and efficient meeting.
