As a launch event for Rourou Ye's online exhibition, May I Dance on Your Screen?, this conversation with Wendy Perron, Dance Magazine’s esteemed former editor-in-chief, offers insights into the digital dance works of Rourou Ye and the interconnections of physical dance, screen life, and audiences.
Created by interdisciplinary dance artist Rourou Ye, May I Dance on Your Screen? is an online exhibition of Ye’s five latest video works that explore how dance inhabits online space. They aim to explore innovative ways of creating visceral, virtual dance that moves audiences emotionally while forging interpersonal connections.
May I Dance on Your Screen? runs from October 1 to December 31, 2021 on https://www.digitaldance.space.
