ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
Dr. Malaty is a movement disorder specialist at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She specializes in the care of individuals with Parkinson disease (PD) and is director of a Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence at UF. She is an experienced investigator in clinical trials for PD. She has lectured internationally on movement disorders and has published many articles, chapters, and a recent book, Living with Parkinson's Disease. Dr. Malaty is the immediate past president of the Florida Society of Neurology and is the chair of the Movement Disorder section of the American Academy of Neurology. She is devoted to care, education, and research in PD.
