Are We There Yet? What you need to know about relocating to another country with kids
Welcome to our new webinar series - Stamford Connects for interested parents who want to know more about international schools in Singapore. Every 2 months we will add a new topic. Join us and connect. This episode will provide details about everything from relocating with children through to curriculum choices.

We know that relocating to another country can be a stressful time. With a family in tow, it becomes increasingly more challenging. This webinar is aimed at helping families who are relocating or have just relocated to successfully transition to an international environment.

This webinar will give parents some vital tips and tools to help their child prepare for and adapt to a life in another country. We will talk about the four different stages of culture shock from the perspective of both parents and children and discuss how important it is to recognize that everyone in the family has needs.

We will also look at support systems for relocating families, where both students and parents can get help with the transition, before, during and after the relocation. And finally, we'll discuss what support can look like for students relocating to a new school in a new country.

The webinar will be presented by Stamford American International School Counselors Laura Day and Kyle Storey. They will use their vast experience of working with students from diverse backgrounds whom they’ve helped adapt to new environments and flourish.
