He has over 33 years of government affairs experience in the Federal and state legislative arenas. Megan Mortimer (Congressional Lobbyist @American Dental Association) Megan Mortimer is currently a Congressional Lobbyist for the American Dental Association. In her role, Megan represents the interests of dentists and their patients in front of members of Congress and their staffs. Her portfolio includes tax, veterans’ affairs, student loans and higher education reform, as well as all legislative matters related to small businesses. Prior to working for the ADA, Megan spent nearly ten years lobbying on behalf of a myriad of clients for two different lobbying firms in D.C. Megan received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her M.A. in Political Science from Georgetown University. Cathy Albrecht (Senior Associate General Counsel @American Dental Association) Cathryn joined the ADA in 2009 after 18 years in private practice, primarily in the area of employment law. As Senior Associate General Counsel, Cathryn works on litigation, human resources, risk management and insurance coverage matters. She also serves as a legal liaison to the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations, the Commission on Dental Accreditation, the Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs, and the Board’s Compensation Committee and Committee on ADA Sessions.
