Spooky or Smart? Exploring Animal Adaptations with Dr. Kristen Lear
How much do you know about the world's only flying mammal? Join Scholastic and bat conservationist, Dr. Kristen Lear on October 27th at 1PM ET to learn more about these animals’ adaptations. Whether your students are in-class or learning remotely, you’ll enjoy listening to Dr. Kristen share stories about her favorite Halloween animals. Questions we can’t wait to ask her include:

• What are animal adaptations and why are they important?
• How do physical and behavioral traits help animals survive?
• How do animals interact with their environment in order to prolong survival?

Make sure to bring a stuffed animal to class—we’ll be sure to answer any questions you have about your favorite.

Plus, 3 participants will be chosen at random to receive a FREE Scholastic Magazines+ subscription! For a chance to win, share your students’ questions for Dr. Kristen below.
