Join us Monday, October 26 from 6-8 pm for the first in a series of conversations with the third cohort of the Leslie-Lohman Artist Fellowship. The first event includes presenting artists Sarah E. Brook, Evan Paul English, and Sarp Kerem Yavuz with curator and scholar Jeanne Vaccaro.
Each of the four fellowship event will feature a short artists’ talk by three Fellows, followed by a discussion with a curator, art historian, or writer. Since its inception, the Artist Fellowship, led by director Ela Troyano, has centered queer artists of color from a wide range of cultural experience.
For the first event, the presenting artists include Sarah E. Brook, Evan Paul English and Sarp Kerem Yavuz in conversation with curator Jeanne Vaccaro. Vaccaro is a writer, curator, and teacher whose work explores the intersection of aesthetics and the history and theory of trans and queer life. She is a postdoctoral fellow at ONE Archives at USC Libraries. Join the first three 2019-2020 Artist Fellows on October 26 and stay tuned for the following three events!
