Build Energy Smart Workshop 3 - Mechanicals
The RDKB and RDCK are inviting members of our local home building industry to a free 3-part online workshops series (with BC Housing CPD points).

Developed by BCIT professionals and industry experts, this 3-part workshop series has been designed for building in the Kootenays.

Following the first 2 workshops that focused on super energy-efficient buildings envelope, this final workshop will focus on the selection, design and install of efficient mechanical systems.

These workshops are streamed from the BCIT lab providing practical demonstrations, mock ups and case studies.

The workshop series is funded through FortisBC Build Better program and BCHydro.

Alex Hebert - Facilitator
Manager of the BCIT Zero Energy Buildings Learning Centre @BCIT
Alex is the Manager of the BCIT Zero Energy Buildings Learning Centre (www.bcit.ca/zeroenergybuildings). He is a Mechanical Engineer by training.
Rob Pope - Presenter
Senior Consultant @Ecolighten Energy Solutions
Rob started working in the heating and cooling industry in the mid 1970`s with apprenticeship in residential homes earning trade certifications in sheet metal, refrigeration and gas fitting. He has over 40 years of experience installing, servicing and designing first wave of energy-efficient HVAC mechanical systems including condensing gas furnaces/boilers, heat recovery ventilation, air-source heat pumps and geothermal.
