Shared e-scooters have quickly become a popular way for people to get to where they need to go, but injury rates of riders in cities where they are deployed has raised flags for regulators, media, health professionals, researchers, and operators alike. In this webinar, we will hear from researchers who have conducted two preliminary studies on shared e-scooter safety-- one by the CDC and Austin Public Health looking at ridership in the City of Austin, and one by researchers at UCLA on ridership in Santa Monica. Additionally, Remix has been conducting a review of cities' responses to scooter safety, and will present an overview of the actions cities are taking across the US to address safety concerns. Please join us to learn more about this important topic and ask your burning questions!
