Global data communities are primed for considerable progress in accelerating discovery and advancing research through open science. However, navigating data sharing in the context of international collaborations can be extremely complex and very challenging. The International Network-of-Networks (iN2N) Data Expert Workshop1 was convened to address the social and technical challenges in making data shareable and interoperable internationally. The workshop brought together a multidisciplinary group of experts to identify the biggest challenges related to data sharing in international scientific collaborations and to identify solutions to address these issues. Based on the meeting discussions, a high-level framework was developed with the aim of helping to guide international research projects in dealing with research data management and sharing.
This webinar will touch on several of the most challenging issues for data sharing in international research and present the framework that has been developed as an outcome of the iN2N project.
Researchers or data practitioners who are engaged in or supporting international research projects will find this webinar interesting.
