The Assistive Technology Social Hub: Talking Text with the RNIB Reading Services!

We're thrilled to announce that for our next Social Hub event myself and the 2 Stuart's will be joined by Jo Fullerton (Tech For Life Coordinator) and Paresh Jotangia (Tech For Life Team Leader) from the RNIB!

Jo and Paresh will be discussing the use of RNIB Reading Services along with Dolphin EasyReader.

EasyReader is a free app for Android, Apple iOS and Amazon Fire phones and tablets which works well with screen readers. There is also a paid for version of EasyReader for Windows. This can be used with JAWS and other Windows screen readers.

As part of their demonstration Jo and Paresh will cover Daisy audio books, ePub text and braille books which are all available to download for free to your smart phones, tablets and computers. Your pre-session homework this week is to explore the new Reading Services website via the link below.

Jo and Paresh will also cover the RNIB Newsagent subscription service, this is also available via EasyReader.
