How I Survived Multiple Injuries - Its The Little Things Presented by Antoinette Wallace
#CPDMEWEBINAR

Antoinette Wallace is an anaesthesia Associate working in Dorset.

She qualified as a nurse (RGN) in 1991 and worked in casualty, trauma and orthopaedics before starting her critical care career on the renowned MIU at Selly Oak Hospital. It was here she met Sir Porter and became involved with The Care Team and the trauma and burns unit at Selly Oak. Since then Antoinette has qualified as an Anaesthesia Associate at Birmingham university and worked at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.

She moved to Dorset five years ago and then went on to work at Dorset County Hospital. In August 2018 Antoinette was on her way to undergo volunteer medical cover at Bristol Balloon festival when she was hit head on by another driver, she unfortunately sustained life-changing injuries and the other driver died.

Toni has received excellent treatment and recovered well but most of all she has learnt so much. She quotes "Sometimes this has been what NOT to do. If there is one 'little thing' that I can share from my experience that might help someone, then I’m happy."
