Heat, Cerebral Palsy, and WheelAir
Due to the fact that individuals with cerebral palsy oftentimes have a higher muscle tone and have more difficulty moving, they generate more body heat. Those that use wheelchairs often find it harder to get rid of this heat due to the fact that one is surrounded by a seating system. This increases the chances of overheating, over-sweating and skin damage, among other side effects. During this webinar we will:
-Discuss cerebral palsy and microclimate
-Learn about the possible ways to avoid overheating
-Review a case study about the influence of the WheelAir on those with cerebral palsy
-And learn how to score the general heat and moisture risk of your client via our risk matrix
