Scott Logic's Mark Jose and Dean Kerr join us on Wednesday, Aug 7 @ 10 EST / 3p BST for an introduction to OpenFin React Hooks, published and open-sourced by Scott Logic.
When building applications for OpenFin using the popular framework React, accessing the OpenFin API on the window.fin object, especially when creating side effects, can feel unidiomatic or awkward to a React developer.
With the introduction of React Hooks, you are now able to handle OpenFin API behavior seamlessly using React. This led Scott Logic to abstract away the API behind a simple-to-use suite of React hooks which perform common tasks, providing a consistent user experience across applications. Scott Logic published and open-sourced openfin-react-hooks and would love for the OpenFin community to add their own use cases to it.
