Yale Alumni Health Network: Why HealthTech Needs to Design in Accessibility?
Accessibility, in the technology world, refers to the design of products and services for people with disabilities. Given the mega trend of personalization of technology and aging demographics, accessibility has become vitally important as it is fundamentally about extreme personalization and digital inclusion. Since aging individuals will invariably take on disabilities, all industries, especially healthtech needs to think about this topic. In this talk, Frances West will discuss why and how the healthtech industry could integrate accessibility into their product design and development and what the implications of accessible and inaccessible healthtech solutions are both from the domestic and global market perspective.
