How Did Children Cope? Theresienstadt as a Case Study
Children were innocent victims of the Holocaust; they were targeted by the Nazis in order to erase the Jews and their future. Yet children somehow still managed to create art, to write poetry and to tell jokes. Using the ghetto of Theresienstadt as a case study, a facilitator from Yad Vashem will guide an exploration of the art, poetry and words created by children there that show the incredible resilience of the human spirit.
