The Arthur Smith Institute for Urology and Katz Institute for Women’s Health in collaboration with the Interstitial Cystitis Association presents: Newest Research and Clinical Progress for the Pelvic Pain Patient
Chronic pelvic pain affects an estimated 20 million men and women in the United States. These may include conditions such as:
- Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome
- Pelvic floor muscle spasm/dysfunction
- Male and Female Sexual Pain
Many of these conditions are difficult to diagnose and treat. Afflicted patients often move from clinician to clinician, sometimes over the course of years, due to difficulties encountered in making a diagnosis and/or suboptimal results from treatments.
Nationally and internationally known experts in the field of pelvic pain from the Pelvic Pain Treatment Center at the Arthur Smith Institute for Urology will be presenting a wide range of topics about common conditions that are the cause of pain and new approaches to pain management. We have incorporated time into the program for an extensive question and answer session.
The Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA) is the only nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare and lives of people living with interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS).
