Working from home with cats, dogs and kids!
As the country gears up to ‘return to schooling’ after the Easter holidays, you’re probably wondering how best to prepare for your new jobs as home-schooler, entertainer, PE teacher, mediator, and multitalented wizard. You may also be wondering how to do all of these, while holding down your actual day-job!

Join our panel to find out what has (and has not!) been working for them. Pick up hints, tips, and resources you can try out at home.

Panel members:

Laura Kemp, Cluster Engagement Manager – Dynamo NE CIC
Laura has a number of years' experience working remotely with a variety of SMEs. Laura will tap in to her experience of what she has found does and does not work when balancing parenting two children while working from home with family.

John Coburn, Acting Co-Chief Exec - Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children’s Books
John has been leading Seven Stories remotely for 3 weeks. He will draw on his experience of balancing parenting responsibilities for three young children (and 1 cat!) alongside this.

Caroline Ash, Head Teacher - Dinnington First School
With over 20 years experience in education, Caroline took on her first headship in September 2019. Caroline will share insights on leading the school community and expectations of families with children now at home, as well as what she knows works with her own three older children (and a dog!) at home.

The Innovation SuperNetwork is part-funded by the ERDF: Catalysing Innovation in North East Clusters, receiving up to £1.24m as part of the European Structural & Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
