This e-Seminar will discuss these topics:
The most common use of "Abstract of Titles" in our industry is to verify that there is not a loan recorded on a documented vessel. There is so much more to them. Simply reading the Coast Guard jargon and abbreviations will be covered and then the talk will get much more interesting with sections on how important gaps in documented ownership can lead to duplicated titling, how long intents to lien can be enforced, what constitutes liens and intents to lien on the Abstract, when information on an Abstract may lead you to serious problems with the vessel and what our responsibility as brokers may be. The format will be both informative and offer time for Q and A.
