• Comprehend and define 'acute vascular ischemia'
• Recognize patients presenting with carotid disease, aortic dissection or acute mesenteric ischemia
• Understand the treatment algorithm needed to manage common acute vascular ischemic events

19:30 + Stroke Update - Dr. Mina Atia, St. Joseph's Health Centre - Toronto
• know more about acute stroke care than before attending this talk
• be able to identify patients who should be urgently evaluated for tPA and/or endovascular therapy (EVT)
• describe the importance of correctly identifying TIA and starting treatment quickly
• review use of dual antiplatelets and anticoagulation in prevention of stroke, including timing of initiation
• review anti-thrombotic management after bleeding/ICH
