A solicitor advocate and chartered surveyor, his dual qualifications provide a layer of expertise that adds a practical level to his work. He acts for contractors, employers and governments in the building, construction, engineering, infrastructure, transport, nuclear, energy, oil and gas, technology and process engineering sectors. Nicholas’ dispute resolution experience spans litigation, arbitration (ICC, LCIA, DIFC, DIAC, SIAC, ICSID, AAA LMAA, CIMAR and ad hoc UNCITRAL), adjudication, DAB/DRB/DAAB, mediation, early neutral evaluation and expert determination. (Construction), LLM-Construction Law and Arbitration with over 38 years of experience covering building, civil and mechanical construction in Zambia, Tanzania, Mozambique and the Congo. He is a Registered Engineer, Fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators-UK, the Chartered Institute of Building-UK, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Association of Consulting Engineers-Zambia and a Chartered Construction Manager. He also sits on the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) National List of Dispute Adjudicators, Zambia.
