The 4% Matter: Why Reaching the Black Community in Pima County is a Critical Need - AzLA Professional Development Monthly Webinar Series
Presenters: Tenecia Phillips, Jessica Pryde, and Angela Harper

Over one million people reside in Pima County; fewer than 40,000 are Black. In an area that was part of Mexico before state lines were drawn, the majority of attention when reaching non-white residents focuses on Latinx populations. Pima County Public Library's Kindred team is a team of six. Their mission is to reach, support, and celebrate the Black community. Learn more about why they came together, efforts made to extend the library's reach beyond branch walls (including during the pandemic), and the projects they have successfully completed and currently have in motion to continue bringing more of Pima County's Black community into the Library.
