Thank you for your interest in joining a presentation for Nova Scotia parents and caregivers delivered by the YMCA Youth Cannabis Awareness Program.
YCAP is a national cannabis education and prevention initiative funded by Health Canada through their Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP).
This workshop explores risk factors that may lead to cannabis use among youth, and the protective factors that may mitigate or prevent harms associated with cannabis use.
Together, we'll explore our own standpoints, and discuss strategies on how to raise the number of protective factors from a parental or caregiver perspective by engaging in productive, non-judgmental conversations with youth.
The interactive presentation will run for 1.5 hours, which includes time for an anonymous Q+A.
Participation will be anonymous and your information will only be collected in aggregate form by YCAP to note the number of participants who attend for reporting purposes.
Any personal data collected through registration will NOT be shared with the Regional Centre for Education in your community, or be used for any promotional purposes, other than a follow-up email after the webinar.
