Dr. Kelly Clough is a licensed Naturopathic Physician practicing in Tempe, AZ. He treats a variety of conditions, with an emphasis on type II diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Dr. Clough uses a three-pronged approach to help his patients: education, empowerment, and treatment. He educates patients on their condition and how their diet, lifestyle, and mental-emotional state affect their health. He empowers them with simple and effective self-care techniques. He treats them using safe, efficacious, and appropriate medicines and therapies, including acupuncture and cupping, botanical medicine, and bodywork. On top of educating his patients, he also teaches biochemistry, sports nutrition, and research for SWIHA online, and taught anatomy and neuroanatomy at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe. Dr. Clough’s purpose at SWIHA is to guide his students to the knowledge and understanding that will allow them to create safe, effective, and individualized health plans for their clients. Also, he likes to have fun when he teaches and he encourages his students to have fun, too!
