To achieve the objectives of the European Green Deal and a net zero economy by 2050, it is fundamental to direct investments towards sustainable projects and activities.
The EU Taxonomy is a tool used to understand whether an economic activity is environmentally sustainable and can therefore help investors, companies, and issuers to navigate the transition to a low-carbon, resilient, and circular economy.
The taxonomy will help businesses and investors to contribute to the Paris Climate Agreement by enabling companies and issuers to access financing for economic activities and sectors that are consistent with the EU’s net zero targets.
In this Q&A Surgery, we aim to support UK Network member’s understanding of the EU taxonomy by engaging in a conversation that will explore: the basic principles and framework of the taxonomy; how the taxonomy can support businesses and investors to achieve net zero; how businesses and investors should use the taxonomy; and more.
