Day 1: March 2, 2021 – CA HCV Landlord Symposium: The HCV Program (Section 8): Basics and Program Updates for Landlords, 10:00AM-11:30AM, PST

The Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD’s) Landlord Task Force welcomes landlords, public housing authority (PHA) representatives, and other industry partners to this 3-day California virtual symposium. The symposium is designed to offer information to landlords about HUD voucher assistance programs (commonly known as Section 8) including the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) programs. Each day will have presentations on a different focus area.

The symposium kicks off by introducing landlords to HUD’s HCV programs. Representatives from local PHAs will provide an overview of their voucher programs and landlord incentives, and discuss why accepting vouchers is a good business opportunity for landlords.
