LEAD Network - Empowering parents to successfully juggle career & caring is critical to Women’s Advancement
Managers play a significant role in retaining and engaging women & men post a parental leave, to maximise the pipeline of talent for leadership roles.
Often Managers feel ill-equipped to support employees through a period of absence at work and limit their use of the policies and resources potentially available to them. Training Managers on what to pay attention to, to successfully facilitate a team member through a parental or any leave of absence; so that the employee is more likely to return to work and be engaged, is critical. This is often the period where organisations see the most visible and invisible attrition and it is important to support Managers with the knowledge on their role in managing these transitions, in the quest for greater diversity and inclusion.

Deborah Croft, Managing Partner and co-founder of Thriving Talent, will share the consultancy’s expertise in helping organisations better enable caring and career at work, so that there is a greater pool of talent to move into leadership roles, thereby maximising the likelihood of meeting diversity and inclusion KPIs. Deborah has been working with Professionals and Organisations to drive improvements for better inclusion for carers since 2010 in Switzerland. Prior to this, Deborah worked for 15 years in project management, working on change projects across Europe.
