Fostering Growth Mindset in our Students and Ourselves, Part I (1 hour)

Mindset is one of the greatest predictors of student success. Those with a growth mindset believe that they can grow through challenge and use adversity to expand their abilities. A fixed mindset, by contrast, discourages challenge and, by extension, growth.

In these unsettling times, mindset can be a critical driver in helping us move forward in our 'new normal.'

In this first webinar on the topic, we will define mindset (growth and fixed,) offer many applications, and discuss what teachers can do to help their students (and themselves) develop mindsets that welcome challenge and promote a 'can-do' attitude.

A follow up webinar will offer additional strategies for developing a growth mindset and develop new pathways for learning and retention.
