Understanding Our New World - A Conversation with former United States Senator John Danforth
Join the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute on Wednesday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. CT via Zoom for a conversation with former United States Senator John Danforth and Institute Director John Shaw as they discuss Danforth’s career in politics and diplomacy, the role of religion in public affairs, and the public health, economic, political, and social challenges facing the United States.

Danforth served as Missouri’s Attorney General from 1968 to 1976 before representing his state in the United States Senate from 1976 to 1995. He served as special envoy to Sudan in 2001 and as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 2004 to 2005.

This program is part of a virtual series of conversations sponsored by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute with policy experts, political analysts, and government and private sector leaders.
