Join the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute on Tuesday, August 4th at 10:00 a.m. CT via Zoom for a conversation with Illinois House Republican Leader Jim Durkin and Institute Director John Shaw as they discuss public health, economic, and social challenges in Illinois and preview the fall campaign.
Durkin, who resides in Western Springs, was first elected to the Illinois House of Representatives in 1995 and began serving as the House Republican Leader in 2013. Durkin helped negotiate a new education funding formula for Illinois and pushed legislation that allows judges to issue harsher sentences on repeat gun offenders by giving stringent penalties.
This program is part of a virtual series of conversations sponsored by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute with policy experts, political analysts, and government and private sector leaders.
We would love to hear from you! If you would like to ask Leader Durkin a question, please email your question to firstname.lastname@example.org or include it below in the "Questions & Comments" box.
