Ruth McFarlane
Vice President of Advancement @Ms. Foundation for Women
Most recently, Ruth McFarlane served as the Director of Development and Community Engagement at the National Center for Lesbian Rights in San Francisco and the Director of Programs at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center and the Director. Prior to working in the nonprofit sector, McFarlane practiced law as an associate at Norton Rose Fulbright in Dallas and Linklaters in New York. She sits on the board of Health Access Foundation, an organization that aims to provide quality, affordable health care for all in the state of California, and has previously served on the boards of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, Homeownership SF, and City of Refuge United Church of Christ Oakland. McFarlane holds an M.S.W. from the University of California Berkeley, and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Steve Delgado
Chief Operating Officer @Homeboy Industries
A native of L.A., Steve joined Homeboy Industries as Chief Development Officer in 2019 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer where he oversees a $120M comprehensive campaign, Homeboy’s strategic growth initiatives, and external affairs and partnerships including the Global Homeboy Network, a network of 350+ organizations around the world seeking paradigm changes to support vulnerable communities. In 2020, Steve led Homeboy Industries through a process which secured Homeboy as the 25th recipient of the Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the world’s largest prize of its kind. Steve followed a calling to dedicate his professional life to the service of others after success as an entrepreneur and executive in the publishing and retail industries, serving as president of a newspaper and magazine publisher and senior manager at a Fortune 1,000 retailer. Prior to working at Homeboy Industries, Steve spent 8 years at Whittier College, most recently serving as VP for Advancement.
Connie Falcone
President @Northwestern Memorial Foundation
Connie Falcone is the President of Northwestern Memorial Foundation, the philanthropic partner of Northwestern Medicine’s 11-hospital system. The latter half of her career has been spent in mission-focused work in the domains of health care and sports-based youth development and the first half in law and private equity investment. Just prior to Northwestern Memorial Foundation, Connie served as Executive Director of Cubs Charities and Director of Community Affairs for the Chicago Cubs. Previously, Connie helped the founders build and grow Urban Initiatives. Before her nonprofit career, Connie worked in business for 15 years as Executive Vice President at an investment firm and attorney at a Denver law firm. Connie holds a BA from Colorado College, a JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
