The inauguration is over, a new president is in the White House, and our nation has started down a path of healing after four years of intense division.
But the real work is only beginning — both nationally and at the local level. That’s why we’re partnering with Civic Commons to encourage Seattleites to learn more about their government and get involved.
In a recent Evergrey survey, only 16 percent of respondents said they understood “very well” how their local, county, and state government works. And a majority of folks said they’re not sure how to get more involved.
Join The Evergrey and Civic Commons on Tuesday, Feb. 16, as we bring elected officials and city representatives together to talk about how everyday citizens can connect with them and bring about change.
We’ll be joined by:
• U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, representing Washington’s 7th Congressional District
• King County Councilmember Girmay Zahilay, representing District 2
• Andrés Mantilla, director of City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods
Hosted by Caitlin Moran, Evergrey Director, and Frank Nam, Project Director at Civic Commons.
