Hi there, You are invited to a Zoom webinar. When: Mar 12, 2021 09:30 AM Pacific Time (US and Canada) Topic: How to Grow the Veganic Farming Movement - Webinar and Town Hall Discussion Register in advance for this webinar: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_wbjn5dicQmq9uXliR6TLFQ After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. ---------- Webinar Speakers Dr. Mona Seymour (Associate Professor of Urban and Environmental Studies @Loyola Marymount University) Mona Seymour is an Associate Professor of Urban and Environmental Studies at Loyola Marymount University. Her research interests broadly concern the relationships between veganism/animal liberation and agrifood movements. She is currently working on a project on veganic farming in the United States in collaboration with Alisha Utter at the University of Vermont. The project focuses on the values, experiences, and farming practices of US veganic growers. Dr. agr. Johannes Eisenbach (Co-founder and Partner @Adolf Hoops Society) Dr. agr. Johannes Eisenbach, originally from Germany, is a trained farmer and agricultural economist. Involved in the organic movement since the early 1980s, he relocated to Greece in 1995 where he played a major role in the development of organic agriculture. In addition to providing training and consultancy for conversion farms, he has built up an extensive distribution network to give producers from Greece and Cyprus, mostly small-scale family farms, access to the international export markets. In collaboration with the German organic pioneer Adolf Hoops and his son Arne, he developed the Biocyclic Standard, which later expanded to become the Biocyclic Vegan Standard. Johannes Eisenbach is a co-founder of the Adolf Hoops Society, the international standard and label organization for biocyclic vegan agriculture, and he is the chairman/coordinator of several associations and committees including the Biocyclic Vegan Standard Commission. Axel Anders, M. A. (@International Biocyclic Vegan Network) Axel Anders, M. A., studied psychology, drama, linguistics and business administration in France and Germany. Already during his university years, he became involved in the organic farming movement and came into contact with the organic pioneer Adolf Hoops back in the early 1980s. Although his professional journey took him in a different direction in language teaching, international business and publishing, his interest in organic farming remained alive. In 2016, when recognizing the need for a consistently vegan form of organic agriculture he connected German stakeholders in veganic farming with the Biocyclic Network in Greece/Cyprus, thereby initiating the development of “Biocyclic Vegan Agriculture”. Currently Axel Anders lives and works in Berlin. As a co-founder of the Adolf Hoops Society, the international standard and label organization for biocyclic vegan agriculture, he is primarily involved in the international development of the biocyclic vegan activities.
