Patient as a partner: The Becquerel Lab example
Mikaël Daouphars and Emmanuelle Hoche will share the new relational model of the French Comprehensive Cancer Center Henri Becquerel, which involves patients, relative caregivers and healthcare professionals to improve overall care. Considering "hospital users" as "unavoidable partners" in all decisions that concern them, relying on their expertise, acquired through experience, the Henri Becquerel Center :

1. has set up an operational group of "volunteer patient resources" to implement an incubator laboratory for ideas, a forum for debate, proposals, criticism and construction,
2. identifies keys for improvement on various themes (e.g. patient information, new building project, digital health…).

Mikaël Daouphars and Emmanuelle Hoche will explain how this project was implemented, and how they look for the right combination between patients, healthcare professionals, process and tools to move from volume to value.
