Journal Highlights - BRIDGES: Breast Cancer Risk After Diagnostic Gene Sequencing
1. Genetic testing for breast cancer susceptibility is widely used but, for many genes, their association and underlying risks are not well established
2. We sequenced 35 genes in ~114,000 women with breast cancer or healthy controls and evaluated the breast cancer risks associated with protein-truncating and missense variants
3. The results define those genes most clinically useful for inclusion on breast cancer risk panels and provide estimates to guide genetic counseling
