Join the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute for a conversation with Congressman Darin LaHood and Institute Director John Shaw as they discuss Congress’s response to the COVID-19 crisis, the effort to reopen Illinois in the coming weeks, and long-term challenges facing the state and nation.
LaHood, a Republican from Peoria, represents the 18th District of Illinois, which extends over 19 counties in central and west-central Illinois. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015. Prior to his election to Congress, LaHood served as a member of the Illinois State Senate from 2011 to 2015, and was a state and federal prosecutor for nine years.
This program is part of a virtual series of conversations sponsored by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute with distinguished experts, political analysts, and government leaders discussing how the COVID-19 pandemic is reshaping our world.
We would love to hear from you! If you would like to ask Congressman LaHood a question, please email your question to email@example.com or include it below in the "Questions & Comments" box.
