Fashion: Seeking Sustainable Solutions
Join BakerAvenue's conversation with special guests, Rachel Kibbe and Matthew Aprile, on the fashion industry's journey towards a more local "seed to sewn" movement towards conscious consumerism.

Some of the questions we'll discuss are:

- What do we think sustainability is and what is it really?
- How we're moving towards a fully sustainable/circular fashion industry
- What factors (i.e. regulation, technology, supply chain reorgs) is the industry considering to move the needle?
- How investors make a difference?
- What investment factors are more critical than others?

Matthew Aprile
Founder at Indi @Indi, LLC
Matt Aprile’s experience with Ralph Lauren and global sourcing (including Hong Kong, China and India) gave him a full-on view of the poverty, living conditions, child labor, and other challenges with the fashion industry. His company, indi, a line of hand-made clothing for the whole family, honors the tradition of natural, botanical indigo dyeing and techniques passed down for generations. For every child’s garment produced, 20% of the cost is invested up-front in the empowerment of children through indi’s partnership with Girl2b and its artisan communities.
