Andreas Küttel

Andreas had a long elite sports career as a Swiss ski jumper on the World Cup tour from 1995-2011. His sporting highlights were the three Winter Olympics with rankings slightly outside the medal rankings, several World Cup victories and taking the World Championships title in 2009. Besides his elite sport engagement, Andreas obtained a master’s degree in sports science and kinesiology from the ETH Zurich in 2006. After ending his sporting career in 2011, Andreas and his family decided to move to Denmark where he got the opportunity to start a PhD project from 2013-2017 at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). In this PhD, athletes’ transition out of elite sport across different sports system was investigated. Since 2017, Andreas has been affiliated to SDU and teaches courses in sports psychology and talent development. Additionally, he applies his work with the Swiss ski jumping national team as a career advisor and sports psychological consultant.
