2021 Emerging Issues and Policies Regarding Military-Connected Students
In January 2021, the President signed the Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020 into law (P.L.116-315). This recent law makes substantial changes to military-connected students education benefits. Many of the modifications improve and/or increase education benefits for military-connected students, veterans, and their families of various GI Bill® programs. Join the Midwestern Higher Education Compact and Lauren Augustine, vice president of government affairs, Student Veterans of America, to learn more about this new law as well as other emerging issues and policies that affect military-connected students in postsecondary education.
