Jean-Charles Papeians
Head of Liquefaction @TotalEnergies
Jean-Charles serves as the Head of Liquefaction (Gas, Renewables & Power, LNG Division) at TotalEnergies where he is responsible for liquefaction assets and liquefaction development projects in North America. He began his career as an attorney at the Brussels bar, and after 7 years of practice, he joined ENGIE in India as Senior Counsel to support the development of greenfield power stations. In 2002, he co-founded the new ENGIE LNG Business Unit in London as General Counsel and in 2008 also became Head of the London office mainly focusing on LNG Business Development. In 2015, he became General Manager of ENGIE Cameron LNG and was relocated to Houston. In July 2018, Total bought the ENGIE LNG business and Jean-Charles joined the Total group. Total became TotalEnergies in 2021.
Bart Doyle
Group Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director @Mainstream Renewable Power
Bart was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer in 2018 and holds responsibility for the Group’s health and safety, project development, construction and operational activities. Bart was appointed to the Board of Mainstream in October 2020 and represents Mainstream on the Boards of our Aela Energía and Lekela Power joint ventures. His appointment to Group COO followed his secondment to Mainstream Chile as General Manager for three years and previously, Bart was COO for global onshore developments across the company. Formerly, he worked for global developer Airtricity leading construction for a number of wind assets. Before this Bart worked with Schlumberger Oilfield Services on onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.
Rajat Katyal
Managing Director and Head of EMEA Oil and Gas Investment Banking @HSBC
Rajat is Managing Director and Head of EMEA Oil and Gas Investment Banking with 25+ years of experience, including 5 years at Schlumberger. Prior to joining HSBC, Rajat has worked with Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse leading numerous banking transactions for corporates, PE/SWF clients across NRG sector in EMEA and Asia regions. Selected transactions include: • Sole Financial Adviser to EIG on acquisition of 49% stake in Saudi Aramco oil pipelines ($12.4bn) • JGC on Saudi Aramco IPO ($ 29.4bn), JGC on ADNOC Distribution IPO ($ 851mn) • JGC on inaugural hybrid bond offering for Wintershalldea (€1.5bn), Saudi Aramco bonds ($12bn) and OQ (Oman) bond offering (USD 750mn) • Advised Wintershalldea on the sale of its midstream assets in Norway to CapeOmega and Solveig Gas • Advised Carlyle on its acquisition and financing of up to 40% stake in CEPSA ($ 4.8bn) • Advised ADNOC on sale of 35% stake in ADNOC Refining to Eni SpA and OMV AG ($ 5.8bn)
