The State of K-12 Education in 2021 Webinar
Westchester Education Services is pleased to host this free, one-hour information session that will look at how K-12 education is doing in 2021 and provide updates to some of the topics covered during the State of K-12 Education webinar we conducted in August 2020.

Kevin J. Gray, President and Chief Content Officer, will moderate a discussion with a panel of education experts about how schools have adapted to educate students during COVID-19, what we have learned about the impacts of hybrid and remote learning setups, how federal funding is helping districts address issues resulting from the pandemic, and what to expect as this academic year ends and we look ahead to the 2021-22 school term.

Victoria Akosile
Manager, Education Technology Policy @SIIA (Software & Information Industry Association)
Victoria has experience working on a variety of issues in education policy. She’s worked on K-12 issues at ETS, as well as higher education research at The Urban Institute. Prior to joining SIIA’s ed tech policy team, she focused on Title IV-A allocations at the Bernstein Strategy Group. She most recently worked at the Infectious Diseases Society of America where she focused on legislative issues related to COVID-19.
Kathy Mickey
Managing Editor, Senior Education Analyst @SIMBA Information
Kathy Mickey is managing editor/senior analyst of the Education Group at Simba Information, where she leads research on the PreK-12 and college instructional materials industry. Ms. Mickey writes the bi-weekly B2B business intelligence newsletter Educational Marketer and works on a number of annual market forecast reports. She joined Simba in 2000 after many years as a reporter and editor at weekly and daily newspapers, where her focus was education.
Denise Cobb-Wiliams
Director, Elementary Curriculum @Walton County School District, Monroe, Georgia
Denise Cobb-Williams has spent 25 years in the field of education in Alabama and Georgia. She has served at every level- teacher, assistant principal, and principal, currently, she is the Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction. Denise holds degrees and certification from Alabama State University, Troy State University and Auburn University. She states a major goal of hers in this role is to cultivate networks of teacher leaders within the district, that implement robust instructional practices of teaching and learning while educating the total child.
