Influenza in Practice launched in 2020 as a series of short (<5 minutes), powerful videos featuring Australian healthcare professionals who share an idea, experience or insightful opinion related to influenza and influenza vaccination. In 2021, we have four expert speakers including a nurse practitioner, travel specialist, cardiologist and research scientist whose talks we are bringing to you live.
Dr Kirsty Short is an Australian Research Council Discovery EARLY Research Award research fellow and head of the viral pathogenesis lab at the University of Queensland.
Dr Lau is a Travel Medicine Expert practicising at the Travel Doctor-TMVC Melbourne. His special interest is tropical diseases in returned travellers.
Catherine Keil is a Nurse Practitioner based in Adelaide specialising in travel health and immunisations. In 2018 Catherine set up Travel Health Practitioner Pty Ltd and consults out of Angaston Medical Centre.
Dr Tan is a Consultant Cardiologist at Westmead Hospital and Blacktown Hospital, and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and Conjoint Associate Professor at the Blacktown Clinical School, University of Western Sydney and School of Medical Sciences at the University of New South Wales.
