Jeffrey Paine is both a successful VC and thought leader in tune with Asia’s startup ecosystem. Paine is co-founder and managing partner of Singapore-based Golden Gate Ventures, which manages more than USD 175 million in investments. He is also a director of the Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed startup accelerator. Since 2010, it has graduated more than 100 startups and its companies are worth an estimated USD 20 billion.
With his wealth of experience, Paine has seen the regional startup scene grow and helped nurture many of the companies that are now thriving in it. He can no doubt provide an in-depth perspective of Southeast Asia’s startup ecosystem. We will also explore the challenges he has faced as a VC and dig for insights into his work at the Founder Institute, supporting super early-stage startups.
